Ekströms Värmetekniska AB have during many years supplied heat exchangers such as Economisers, Flue gas coolers and Air preheaters and several thousands meters of different kinds of finned tubes for all kind of applications.

More than 1000 shot cleaning systems has been delivered since this cleaning metod was introduced more than 50 years ago.

During August 2017 Metsä Fibre in Äänekoski started up the first next-generation bioproduct mill, which is the largest wood processing plant in the Northern Hemisphere. Ekströms Värmetekniska AB is the proud supplier of the flue gas coolers for Valmets Technologies new recovery boiler. The four Flue gas cooler, which was delivered end of 2016, has a total weigth of almost 500 tonns.

In september 2016 Ekströms made a successful delivery of a new Fin tube economiser to Domsjö fabriker SP9 in Örnsköldsvik Sweden. The economiser was delivered in 14 units and installed by Andritz during a short time window. The new economiser is replacing an old cast iron Economiser from 1980 also supplied by Ekströms Värmetekniska.

Ekströms has delivered a Fin tube Economiser for the new 36MWth combind heat and power plant in Strasbourg. The Biomass fueled boiler was supplied by Leroux & Lotz Technologies and reduces Strasbourgs reliability of fossil fuels for generating heat and power significantly. The economiser consists of a total of 1435 pcs of Double fin tubes. Design temperature is 350°C and design pressure 121 Bar.

Ekströms delivered a 5 MW Flue gas cooler to Smurfit Kappa and Pite Energi. The flue gas cooler was delivered as one 60 ton unit and was installed in the autum 2016. It is now producing hot water from waste heat for the district heating system in Piteå in Northen Sweden.

Ekströms delivered a Primary Air Cooler for DONG Energy´s power plant in Studstrup, Denmark. The Air cooler, consisting of Ekströms High frequency welded Spiral finned tubes, was a part of the convertion of the former fossil fueled power plant into a biomass fired power plant.

In january 2015 Ekströms delivered the Finned tube economiser for the new Valmet Boiler at Arcelor Mittal in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The economiser was supplied as two 58 tons units and welded together on site.

In November 2014 Ekströms supplied two Finned tube flue gas coolers for Andritz new recovery boiler at Mondi Swiecie in Poland. The flue gas coolers has a total capacity of approximate 15 MW.

In March 2014 Ekströms supplied flue gas coolers for the new Pulp line at CMPC Guaiba mill supplied by Valmet Power OY. The contract covered design and manufacturing of four pcs of flue gas coolers, 75 tons each, according to ASME VIII Div. 1.

Ekströms has together with A&J Fabtech LTD supplied a replacement fin tube economiser for UPM Shotton paper mill in UK. Ekströms client was Foster Wheeler OY who was handling the replacement and installation of the new economiser consisting of two units, 35 + 50 tons. The installation was done in April 2014.

Ekströms delivered the Shot Cleaning System for the new recovery boiler at SAPPI SAICOR in Amakulu, South Africa.

In beginning of 2014 Ekströms supplied the Economiser for the new 110MW boiler in Jönköping Torsvik KVVT2 supplied by Valmet Power OY. The economiser consists of 966 pcs of 8,8m Double finned tubes supplied in two units weighing approximate 75 tons each.

In 2012 Ekströms delivered new Primary- , Secondary- and Make-up Air preheaters for Södra Cell Värö. The new air preheaters with stainless steel pressure parts were replacements for the air preheaters of another brand and the installation was executed by Andritz OY.

Together with A&J Fabtech Ltd in U.K. Ekströms supplies fin tube economiser coils to Ratcliff power station in 2010 and 2012. Ekströms have made the heat transfer calculations and the design of the coils to fit in the excisting boiler in accordance with BS EN12952 and PED/CE marked. Ekströms supplied loose tubes to A&J Fabtech´s workshop in UK for assembling to coils.

Ekströms have designed and supplied the gas reheater for boiler No 8 in 2003 and are during year 2007 supplying the reheaters for boiler No 2 and 3. The reheaters is one of the components in the flue gas cleaning system which Alstom Power Sweden AB is the suppliers of.
